At FYLGIFISKAR we specialize in everything related to fish like the name “FOLLOW THAT FISH” – FYLGIFISKAR indicates. At our large and beautiful store you can buy all sorts of newly caught fish, fresh from the North Atlantic Ocean such as halibut, monkfish, lemon sole, catfish and cod. Shellfish like lobster, shrimp and scallops are also available along with tuna, salmon and artic char.
At FYLGIFISKAR we take pride in servicing our costumers and are offering large variety of pre-made fishmeals, ready to be put in the oven or quickly pan-fried. The customers can choose from 20 – 30 different types so the decision can be pretty hard after a long day at work. The Chefs advice can be very helpful at such critical points!
During lunch hour customers can enjoy fish soup or a delicious meal served in house or as Take-away. The Icelandic “fish balls” or the Icelandic “plokkfiskur” are seen on the menu but so are “cod with mustard and feta cheese” and “artic char with sesame seeds, fresh coriander, garlic and sweet chili sauce”.
